Motshegofadiwa Primary School

The school was established in 1975 at Stinkwater Village west of Hammanskraal. It was voluntarily built by the community donating mud bricks. Presently the school has an enrolment of 868 learners from Grade R to Grade 7 who are accommodated in 19 classrooms and 2 Grade R Tin shacks. The school has employed 23 educators, 2 admin assistants and 4 general assistants.

In 2009 the school introduced Grade R and was able to enrol 35 learners with 1 practitioner who was paid by the S.G.B. through funding contributions from parents. Presently the school has enrolled 96 Grade R learners with 2 practitioners paid by the S.G.B. and subsidised by the department of education. All the grade R learners are housed in 2 tin shacks due to lack of funds as well as the plight of the community. The school is very active in curriculum delivery, sporting activities as well as musical activities.

To lay a foundation for the development of learners in totality by empowering them with life long education in which culture of learning and teaching (COLT) is maintained so as to produce skilful, respectful and responsible learners who will b able to participate fully in society
