Thathani Combined School

Thathani Combined School was established in 1960 by the community and leaders who pleaded with the Government to build a school for their community in the Mega-South district.

When the school opened, Mrs Dabula was a pointed as an acting principal because of her vast experience in education; who at the time was a private teacher.
At the time the school had only four classrooms, so as more parents registered their children at the school a platoon system was implemented to managed the learners better.

Mission:

The school is dedicated to enabling students to think critically and creatively by establishing a strong foundation in academics and sport.

Vision:

The school aims to achieve this by providing a positive, secure and caring environment where individual differences acknowledged and appreciated, and by the promotion of mutual respect, understanding and effective communication between home and school.
